The villagers of Malari and Niti are traditional craftsmen and their economy is largely dependent on the production of handloom textiles. But, due to the young generation turning away from sheep rearing, this traditional industry is now shrinking. Apart from this, the villagers do agriculture. Mainly potato, kidney beans, amaranth, fafar etc. crops are produced, but due to the long distance to the market and high freight, they do not get enough profit from them.
