Kuari Pass Trek is located in the Nanda Devi National Park in Chamoli District of Uttarakhand state. It is an ancient trade route trek with beautiful forest trails. This trek was an expedition by Lord Curzon and after that also known as the Curzon trail. Kauri Pass Trek is a 31 km long trek from Joshimath in the Garhwal Himalayas at 12,516 feet. It offers a unique opportunity to explore the enchanting beauty of the Himalayas like the clouds touching peaks featuring majestic mountain views, lush Bugyals, dense forests, varied landscapes, rich flora and fauna, bird watching, and a magical winter experience.

Kuari Pass Trek is One of the Best Himalayas Trek in winter, which is suitable for both experienced trekkers and novices at the altitude of 3876 m. The Kuari Pass Trek is a full-fledged experience of breathtaking destinations throughout the trek such as Joshimath – a holy city of great religious importance, Tugashi village- its rustic old houses and temples and the glimpse of the traditional culture of the villagers, following the path to Tali dense tarin-lined trees of oak or deodar forest and it’s sky seems like narrow waterway flowing through the perfect massacre of trees over the head reaching tali lake afterward Khulara-Top, Kuari Pass – lasts the museum of several highest peaks which offers scenic vitas of peaks such as Nanda Devi, Kamet, Dronagiri, and Chaukhamba.

Kuari Pass Trek Best Time Winter (December to February)

One of the best Himalayan treks to experience the year's first snow. Snowfall starts depending upon the season from early November to the last week of December, with dense snowfall in January to February. During winter, a blanket of snow transforms the landscape into a peaceful and spotless wonderland. Sunlight filtering through the snow-covered trees creates a magical, almost otherworldly atmosphere.

Night time: Will drop to temperatures between -8 °C and -14 °C.
Spring (March to April)

Witness blossoming rhododendrons. It's a great experience after the last season of winter snow melting, and the grass turns green in the lower bugyals. Winter snow are still there at the Burans, oak trees in the path at Khullara.

Night time temperature: Will drop to zero
Autumn (Mid-September to November)

Clear skies and pleasant weather. No fog is there between the eye-sighting sky-touching peaks. Bugyals grass turns Golden brown.

Night time temperature: Will drop to zero
Summer (May to June)

The best comfortable season weather if you don’t want to hassle much, expectations of rain usually at the evening.

Day time temperature: Between 18 °C and 24 °C
Night time temperature: Will drop around 3-8 °C

Difficulty Level of Kuari Pass Trek

The Kuari Pass Trek has a moderate difficulty level, making it suitable for both beginners and seasoned trekkers because seasoned or experienced can tackle the trek in the wintertime for exploration and expedition. Recommend having basic physical fitness, and a suitable season time as per your preference. The route includes different types of terrain, such as clear paths, rocky areas, and some steep climbs and descents. Trekkers should be ready for uneven ground and varying trail conditions.
